Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for Asian elephants. It is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. The orphanage was originally formed to protect elephant that were wounded or abounded in jungles. If you have the right timing, you will even get to feed the baby elephants!
