Itinerary

• Arrive at Colombo International Airport (1 Hr)
• Ceylon Expeditions team will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to Negombo (30 Min) Check-in to an accessible hotel in Negombo.
• Relax & unwind after long flight (No activities are scheduled for today)
• Recommend to enjoy a sea food restaurant in Negombo beach

• After breakfast transfer to Habarana (4 – 5 Hrs drive)
• En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
• Proceed towards Habarana and check-in

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a nursery and a captive breeding ground for injured and lost elephants. Here you can observe the daily routine of these gentle giants including the elephant bathing. Elephant orphanage Pinnawala is a wheelchair accessible site.

• After breakfast, leave for Anuradhapura Sacred City (UNESCO World Heritage)
• Explore the ancient ruins, religious monuments in Anuradhapura ancient city
• Return to the hotel
• Overnight stay in Habarana
Sacred City of Anuradhapura (UNESCO World Heritage) is the cradle of glorious Sinhalese Buddhist civilization. You can witness the giant stupa (Pagoda), sacred Bodhi tree (Ficus Religiosa) and other living Buddhist heritage. Anuradhapura is not a 100% wheelchair accessible site but will provide necessary assistance.

Day 4 :
Habarana

• Enjoy the local village in Habarana and treat yourself to a traditional Sri Lankan meal. You will witness a cooking demonstration and taste authentic Sri Lanka meal.
• Afternoon private jeep safari at Minneriya National Park (3PM – 6PM). (This is an accessible safari)
• Return to the hotel before dusk.
• Overnight stay in Habarana (accessible hotel)
Minneriya National Park Sri Lanka is the place you can observe the world-famous elephant gathering in South Asia. Being a massive and diverse eco system, this national park is the home for over 250 species of animal species. Ceylon Expeditions will arrange an accessible safari at Minneriya National Park.

• After breakfast, check out and leave for Kandy. (3 Hrs)

Sacred City of Kandy (UNESCO World Heritage) - A lovely exotic city, the Hill Capital and last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned temple that enshrines the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha and the Royal Botanical gardens.

Day 6 :
Kandy

• Kandy sightseeing city tour.
• In the evening visit Temple of the Tooth Relic

The Sacred Tooth Relic Kandy is the most venerated Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. It is the temple that houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha and it is considered as the utmost important place of worship among Buddhists. Tooth relic temple is a wheelchair accessible temple and buggy car services are also available on request.

• Visit Royal Botanic Gardens Kandy in morning hours
• Transfer to Nuwara Eliya (2 Hrs)
• Leisure afternoon / recommend spending few hours at Gregory Lake

Royal Botanical Gardens - Originally a pleasure garden for the Kandyan queens. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees and is renowned for its collection of orchids and the long, palm framed pathways. Nuwara Eliya - is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. This city was initially developed by British as their holiday center during British colonial period.

UNESCO declared Galle Dutch Fort as a World Heritage in 1988 under the name of Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications. It covers an area of 52 hectares inside the walls including the lighthouse.

Colombo, is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. It is a busy city full of life and culture as well as a handful of ancient and modern iconic sights. Take your time to spend an evening amidst the busy Colombo streets. Recommend visiting Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple in Colombo.
